All Gantri lamps and lanterns are printed in 3D using corn-based polylactic acid (PLA), a plastic substitute made from fermented plant starch. PLA is now a mature 3D printing material, while Gantri uses a special hybrid material developed in cooperation with the Dutch 3D printing material manufacturer ColorFabb.
Ian Yang, CEO of Gantri, explained: "the traditional PLA is translucent and you can still see the fillings inside." Our diffusive PLA has a smooth, ground glass-like luminous effect and has little effect on the color temperature of the internal LED. "
Gantri points out that its manufacturing plant in California is a green plant designed to reduce industrial waste. As for the lights themselves, each lamp has custom wires and switches and an adjustable "museum grade" LED,. These LED can be lit continuously for 25000 hours, an average of three hours a day, equivalent to more than 20 years of service life.
At present, three new lamps and lanterns launched by Gantri-- Gio, Signal and Carve-- have been officially released.
