According to the news of the well-known hardware reporter TUM_APISAK it found the Geekbench 4-runscore of the Ryzen 7 3800X and compared it with the Intel Core i9-9900K.
The Ryzen 7 3800X and the i9-9900K are eight-core processors with 16 threads. The Ryzen 7 3800X has a base clock rate of 3.8 GHz and an acceleration frequency of 4.5 GHz while the i9-9900K has a base frequency of 3.6 GHz and an acceleration frequency of 5 GHz. The i9-9900K should be the leader in paper parameters, but this is not the case.
In the Geekbench run, the Ryzen 7 3800X uses DDR4-2133 memory. Since the third generation of Ryzen supports DDR4-3200 memory, the performance of the chip is limited by slower execution of memory. To ensure fair competition, Core i9-9900K geekbench runpoints also use DDR4-2133 memory in comparison.
Both processors use DDR4-2133 memory, and the AMD Ryzen 7 3800X is very similar to the Intel i9-9900K in terms of single-core performance. With multi-core loads, the Ryzen 7 3800X is 4.95% higher than the Core i9-9900K. However, the Core i9-9900K works with DDR4-2666 memory and goes beyond the DDR4-2133 Ryzen 7 3800X.
