The fact is that in the "airplane" mode, Android-based smartphones disconnect all wireless connections in one go. Such a simple approach is very inconvenient when you listen to music through Bluetooth headphones or watch a movie, and you need to quickly turn off Wi-Fi and cellular communication.
At the moment, you can configure which connections to disconnect in Plane Mode via ADB (Android Debug Bridge) developer tools, but this method is not suitable for most users. Apparently, this problem can be solved in Android 11.
The developers propose to implement a "contextual" disconnection of Bluetooth. In "aircraft" mode, Bluetooth will not be automatically disabled if Bluetooth A2DP or Bluetooth Hearing Aid profiles are used. The A2DP profile is used by most wireless headphones to transmit stereo sound, and the Bluetooth Hearing Aid profile is used by hearing aids.
