It is reported that, Asus VivoWatch SP integrates GPS, ECG and PPG, to monitor the wearer's pulse oxygen levels.
In addition, Asustek has pledged to introduce stress and blood pressure monitoring functions into the watch, but is currently available only in some countries (perhaps not yet licensed for medical equipment). Previously, Asus had a similar ECG health smartwatch, the Asus VivoWatch BP.
The new VivoWatch SP, supports 5ATM waterproof features and altimeter, with a battery life of up to 2 weeks. Unlike the more healthcare-focused Asus VivoWatch BP model, the, VivoWatch SP model tends to promote active exercise use, monitoring data such as walking tracking and pulse oxygen during exercise.
Unfortunately, while handles with ECG features are becoming more common, no smartwatch has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), with the exception of the omron HeartGuide, which measures with extended wrist cuffs.
As for any features, such as pricing, release date, and medical equipment license of Asus VivoWatch SP, please wait patiently for official release.
