[gearbest News] on March 9, DJI held an online launch of new educational RoboMaster EP products, at which the new generation of mecha master RoboMaster EP and RoboMaster EP educational expansion kit were officially released. At the same time, DJI announced that it will hold the RoboMaster Youth Challenge for 19-year-old primary and middle school students.

RoboMaster EP is an educational robot built by DJI for professional robot education scenarios. It inherits the structural advantages and flexible and efficient characteristics of Master S1, and adds hardware such as high-performance steering gear, manipulator, mechanical claw, infrared depth sensor, sensor transfer module and power transfer module. With multiple hardware on the original basis, students' curiosity and creativity can be fully released.

In addition, RoboMaster EP also supports external "Micro:bit", "Arduino", "raspberry pie" and other third-party open source hardware, and can use its own battery to power them. Model training and scene recognition are also carried out through artificial intelligence chip platforms Jetson Nano and SDK. DJI also opens DJIDJI's official SDK,RoboMasterEP to support more than 50 programmable sensor interfaces, allowing children and teachers to access sensor modules, video stream, audio stream and other data, through programming to achieve multi-machine cooperative formation, intelligent obstacle avoidance and other artificial intelligence applications, to achieve rich artificial intelligence play and course teaching needs.

The RoboMaster Youth Challenge is another protagonist of this press conference. The match of educational hardware constitutes the closed loop of robot education from enlightenment, learning to practice. The RoboMaster Youth Challenge can not only help educational institutions and teachers to test the educational achievements of RoboMaster EP, but also be the best testing ground for young people to exercise their robotic skills.

Gao Jianrong, head of DJI education, said: "the closer the future is to us, the more we realize that robot education is not just an obligation of higher education, and we have been challenging and solving the difficulties and problems faced by robot education at different ages, so as to help young people connect to the study of robots and related fields in advance.
