The Fossil HR smartwatch has a monochrome screen that displays some commonly used information, including motion tracking, weather information, and application notifications, and is energy efficient enough to provide two weeks of battery life.
Fossil has a long history of developing hybrid smartwatches, but the company's previous hybrid watches, such as Fossil Q Activist, which used watch pointers to display notifications instead of on screen, show only which app pushed notifications. And I can't get any more information from the notifications.
This time, having a display screen means that Fossil HR can provide more information, although it does not have the full functionality of the Wear OS smartwatch (Fossil says it runs the internally developed Hybrid HR platform), but it can display the number of steps you have taken, heart rate, weather information and notification preview. Fossil also said the smartwatch could control music playback and make phone calls, and its 55mAh battery could be charged to 100% in 60 minutes. However, GPS and Google Pay are not supported in the Fossil HR smartwatch.
As for the availability about the new Fossil HR smartwatch began shipping on Nov. 6 for $195.
