According to foreign media reports, Google plans to launch a new version of the Google Wi-Fi router at its launch on October 15. Unlike the first generation router, the second generation named the new "Nest Wi-Fi" router itself will be equipped with beacons for a mesh network similar to Eero, which can be used as secondary speakers. Apart from that, the new router has not changed much.

According to domestic media reports, Google has adopted a solution similar to Eero. The first generation of Google Wi-Fi will build network playback media files through multiple complete routers, while the second generation of Nest Wi-Fi will provide a solution for a master router and other smaller beacons. These smaller beacons will serve as secondary speakers, while the primary router does not have playback functionality.
