CookingPal recently launched a "Julia Intelligent automatic Cooking system" (the name is reminiscent of the late American national treasure chef Julia Child), which promises to make cooking easier, faster and more direct.
Although the device itself looks mediocre, it can weigh, shred, stir, knead, cook, mix and cook, and it even uses its own blender function to clean itself (just add detergent and water). The system also includes a customized tablet computer, known as the "Smart Kitchen Center", which provides step-by-step video instructions to help users prepare ingredients, as well as tailor-made recipe suggestions. It can also recommend recipes based on the ingredients left at home, thanks to its artificial intelligence to recognize food. Of course, voice control is also supported.
Although Julia doesn't have an exact retail price yet, it is reported that it will sell for "less than $1000", so we are likely to see the numbers "998" or "999". The product is expected to be released this fall, and CookingPal plans to launch smart ovens and smart rice cookers.
