Kirin 990 development board leaked: Huawei’s new chip will soon debut on IFA 2019

Today, well-known whistleblower Roland Quandt Twitter exposed Huawei Kirin 990 development board. According to Roland Quandt, Huawei Kirin 990 development board integrates SK Hynix 8GB LPDDR4X memory and 256GB flash memory. Huawei engineers said on the spot that the motherboard is used for hardware development, while software development uses prototype equipment.

It is reported that Huawei will release Kirin 990 series chips at IFA2019, which is Kirin's first appearance at IFA in the form of a series.


It has been reported that the upcoming Kirin 990 chip will have 4G and 5G versions, both of which will adopt the Cortex A77 architecture (Kirin 980 uses the Cortex A76 architecture), and the first model will be Huawei Mate 30 series.


It is reported that Kirin 990 5G chip will be the world's first 7nm Plus EUV-based 5G SOC, dedicated to the 5G era flagship chip, it will be Huawei Mate 30 series 5G flagship launch.
