As with the Surface Pro series last year, most of the changes to the Surface Pro 7 are built-in, although there may be thinner borders and a slightly flatter design. The big news is that all new variants of tablets will use 4G LTE connectivity. This is true even though some units may be powered by the 10th generation Intel Core processor, while other units may be powered by the 7-inch Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx ARM CPU core. The latter is integrated with the Snapdragon X24 modem chip and supports download speeds of up to 2Gbps.
Today's report states that DisplayPort will be replaced by a USB-C port, but since Surface Connect will remain on the board, the new port will not support the Thunderbolt 3 standard. Finally, Microsoft may offer some new TypeCovers for Surface Pro 7, which come in different colors. A patent for the accessory last November revealed a new process for making TypeCover; this would make the keyboard thinner and 20% lighter than the keyboard on the current TypeCovers. In addition, the touchpad of the keyboard can be directly integrated into the circuit.
If the screen size does not change, the Surface Pro 7 will be equipped with a 12.3-inch display; we can see the current 45Wh battery collision, providing the device with up to 9 hours of battery life.
