Details of the Huawei Ascend 910 server processor, which delivers 256 TFLOPS for floating point operations and 512 TFLOPS for integer computing, are now available, with a maximum power consumption of 310 watts. This is much lower than the planned 350 watts mentioned in October 2018.

Huawei argues that the Ascend 910 can process more data in a shorter time than competitors' solutions and helps to train the network in minutes. The Mindspore is designed to work with the Ascend 910, making it twice as fast in training artificial intelligence models as its counterparts.
