[PConline News] citing the latest report released by well-known analyst firm Susquehanna, the 5G version of iPhone launched by Apple this year is only compatible with Sub-6GHz, and does not support mmWave millimeter wave technology used in the United States, and the relevant support may wait until 2021.

In the traditional sense, the transmission rate of millimeter wave will be faster, but because of its stringent transmission requirements, its coverage performance is very poor. In fact, very few operators explicitly use millimeter wave as the 5G band. At present, there is no news about the commercial use of millimeter wave in China.

Apple is expected to launch four 5G iPhone, models this year while retaining models that use LCD screens. According to the report, Apple will sell about 60 million 5G iPhone in the second half of 2020.
