The issue of the range has always been a major pain point for drone products. With most consumer drones with a 30-minute limit, V-Coptr Falcon has increased its battery range to 50 minutes.
This is due to the simplified V-shaped twin rotor structure design of V-Coptr, combined with its independently developed rudder tilting technology and nonlinear dynamic model design and control algorithm, so that the power system of V-Coptr can greatly improve the force efficiency compared with the traditional quad rotor aircraft of the same size under the same load and the same battery power.
The V-shaped twin rotor configuration allows the Falcon to provide lift with higher force efficiency, while the rotor tip rotates more slowly, thus greatly reducing aircraft noise and achieving a quieter flight experience. Moreover, V-Coptr Falcon has a number of innovative patents in blade design, resulting in a better combination of noise reduction and force efficiency improvement, thus further improving the blade force efficiency and achieving a double noise reduction effect.
In addition, the V-Coptr Falcon shape design is also a bright spot, V-shaped twin rotors to remove redundancy, exquisite and simple. The reduced nose wind area is conducive to more stable and efficient hovering and high-speed flight, and the foldable design greatly reduces the space needed for storage.
When the arm is unfolded, the motor base automatically rotates to the ready-to-fly mode position through the high-efficiency steering gear embedded in the arm, and the overall shape is full of the sense of science and technology in the future. The Falcon with outstretched arms looks like a big bird with open wings, while the V-Coptr Falcon at high speed is more like a “falcon”, spreading its wings and flying high.
In order to ensure a more stable aerial photo effect, the V-Coptr Falcon is equipped with a three-axis mechanically stabilized head, and the rotation of the Yaw direction can reach ±80 degrees. On this basis, with a camera that supports 4K UHD video and 12 million pixel photos, it is easy to shoot a stable and clear picture.
In terms of imaging system, Falcon uses SONY's 1ax 2.3-inch photosensitive device and QUALCOMM image codec chip (ISP), to perform well in image quality, reaching the level of a first-class aerial camera.
V-Coptr Falcon is also equipped with advanced VIO (Visual Inertial odometer) technology and visual obstacle avoidance system, so that the aircraft can actively perceive the surrounding environment during flight, detect obstacles in real time, achieve stable hovering and flight, and avoid collision.
The newly upgraded visual tracking algorithm allows V-Coptr Falcon to accurately and steadily follow the characters or other moving objects in the picture, and the classic shooting trajectory preset in the software can produce a large-scale mirror effect with one click.
Currently, V-Coptr Falcon announced a retail price of $999 and started pre-sale in North America for shipment in mid-February.
In addition, Zero Zero Robotics also displayed "One More Thing"-Project D at this press conference. The V-Coptr Project D is a small UAV based on a V-shaped twin-rotor power system that weighs only 249g but still achieves an ultra-long flight time of 50 minutes.
