Google recently released version 2.28 of the Wear OS application, in which a new string called "xiaomi_companion_name" appears, and the application is named "Mi Wear".
Xiaomi's current app in the Google Pay App Store is called "Mi Fit", and the app in its own App Store is called "Mi Health", and there is no "Mi Wear" app.
This means that Xiaomi is developing a smartwatch that runs Wear OS, and the code also includes the name "Mi Watch" for the smartwatch.
Although it is not certain whether the final name for Xiaomi smartwatch, but given that Xiaomi tablets, televisions and other categories have been named Xiaomi brand, so "Mi Watch" may be the final name of the smartwatch.
Earlier, industry insiders revealed that Xiaomi smartwatch is expected to be released in October, equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon wearable platform, all standard NFC, and will offer a round and a square screen.
