After the release of Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus, mobile phone manufacturers upgraded their products. Among them, MEIZU 16s Pro, Black Shark 2 Pro, and so on are powered by Snapdragon 855+ SoC, offering better performance.
Recently, AnTuTu announced the performance ranking of Android phones. Let’s have a look at the ten top-performing Android phones.
No.1: Black Shark 2 Pro
Black Shark 2 Pro is the upgraded version of Black Shark 2.
It features a symmetrical 6.39-inch full-screen display. Powered by Snapdragon 855+ SoC, all Black Shark 2 Pro smartphones offer 12GB RAM, 128/256GB UFS 3.0 flash memory, which means significant improvement of the read speed and write speed for smoother operation.
It has a 20MP camera on the front, 48MP and 12MP camera on the back. It incorporates a 4000mAh battery and supports 27W quick charge.
Black Shark 2 Pro is a standard gaming phone which is in a different style from most smartphones. Although its performance is exceptional, it caters a small group of users. As a result, its sales volume can’t be compared with mainstream flagships. Thanks to Xiaomi, the sales of Black Shark 2 Pro is not so bad.
ASUS ROG Phone II is the first phone to use Snapdragon 855 Plus. It has a 6.59-inch full screen. You can choose between 8GB and 12GB RAM, as well as 128GB and 256GB ROM.
The front camera is 24MP; the rear camera setup is 48MP + 13MP. It comes with a 6000mAh built-in battery and 30W quick charge capability.
ROG Phone II has a 1080P HD display with 120Hz refresh rate. If it had a high-performance cooling system, it would be great to have such a gaming phone.
It is a pity that the screen is not satisfying enough. Otherwise, it might be the perfect gaming phone for 2019. Of course, it has a large battery, which leads to a weight of over 240g. Thus, it is not suitable for gaming for an extended time.
OnePlus 7 Pro is the most stunning dark horse in the first half of the year 2019, and one of the phones to perfection. It features a 6.7-inch 2K AMOLED curved screen, supports DC dimming and 90Hz refresh rate.
Powered by Snapdragon 855 SoC, equipped with 16MP selfie camera, 48MP Sony IMX586 primary camera, 16MP ultra-wide-angle camera, an 8MP telephoto lens, the smartphone is outstanding. It has a 4000mAh battery and supports 30W quick charge.
OnePlus has invested 100 million to make the customized screen which features the high-resolution among Chinese flagship smartphones. The 90Hz refresh rate is the icing on the cake. All in all, its display effect is comparable with Samsung S10+.
It is expected that OnePlus 7T Pro can be as advanced as OnePlus 7 Pro.
OnePlus 7 is an upgraded version of OnePlus 6. The two smartphones have the same design, screen size, battery capacity, and even hardware.
Only the SoC and rear camera have been improved. More specifically, the processor has been upgraded from Snapdragon 845 to Snapdragon 855; the rear camera setup has been upgraded to 48MP + 5MP.
Nevertheless, OnePlus 7 reflects that OnePlus is uncompromising, using the best hardware for the perfect performance.
No.6: Black Shark 2
No.7: Xiaomi Mi 9 TE (Transparent Edition)
No.8: ZTE AXON 10 Pro 5G
ZTE AXON 10 Pro 5G doesn’t differ too much from 4G version, whereas, the former is 1800 yuan more expensive.
In terms of hardware, it is equipped with a 6.45-inch Visionox AMOLED curved screen, Snapdragon 855 SoC. It only provides one version, with 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM.
There is a 20MP front camera with AI Beauty Mode. The rear triple camera setup includes 48MP, 20MP, and 8MP camera. Moreover, its battery capacity is quite high, 4000mAh.
No.9: MEIZU 16s
MEIZU 16s is probably the most pathetic smartphone. It sold well for 3198 yuan (about $449) and was well-received. Unexpectedly, two months after the launch, its price was reduced, losing the support of MEIZU fans. Consequently, the sales volume plummeted.
MEIZU 16s uses a 6.2-inch symmetrical screen, Snapdragon 855 SoC, 20MP selfie camera with Beauty Mode, 48MP IMX586 primary camera and 20MP IMX350 sub-camera, 3600mAh battery, 24W quick charge.
After the release of 16s Pro, the price of 16s became even lower. Currently, the price is as low as 2548 yuan (about $358). However, it is not as cost-effective as MEIZU 16s Pro. That’s why a lot of users are disappointed at it.
It is not surprising that Redmi K20 Pro ranked the 10th place. Unexpectedly, Xiaomi Mi 9 was not in the top 10. Is it because the performance of Xiaomi Mi 9 has become lower, or because its users don’t like to run AnTuTu Benchmark?
Smartphones powered by Qualcomm processors often rank top. However, it is possible that after the Huawei Mate 30 will be the No.1 after the launch event.
Strangely, Xiaomi Mi 9 was not included. What do you think of it?
