Huawei Mate 20 X 5G will be available for sale on August 16, which means that 5G smartphones will be prevalent.
Recently, the prices of over 30 4G smartphone models have dropped on several shopping platforms. The price of P30 Pro is reduced by about $71, the prices of Xiaomi Mi 9, Vivo X27 are cut by about $14 to $57.
Before the price reduction, OPPO Find X became $142 cheaper, Honor Magic 2 $99 less expensive. The prices hit a new low. Generally, mainstream smartphones are about 10% more affordable; some are over 30% lower. It is worth mentioning that Huawei P30 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 9 were just released 3 - 4 months ago.
The search volume of 5G smartphones is soaring, 2700% higher. More consumers are concerned about 5G smartphones because the newly released 5G phones are less expensive than expected. Some manufacturers claimed that 5G smartphones would be costly, starting at over $1424. To their surprise, the prices are around $712.
Well, it is good news! However, for those who are considering changing smartphones, whether it will be better to get a 4G smartphone or 5G one?
Experts: Only half a year left for 4G smartphones
The prices of iPhone Series have also dropped by $42 to $71. Among them, the prices of the mid-range iPhone 8, 8 Pro and XR have been reduced sharply. iPhone XR 128GB version is now priced at less than $750. The iPhone SR Max costs as low as $1449.
Although the price reduction is not directly associated with the launch of 5G smartphones. However, most are looking forward to 5G, so they choose to wait.
No wonder the sales volume of the smartphones in the first half of the year is 20% - 30% lower compared with the last year. Under the stress of large stock and limited capital, the wide-spread price reduction of 4G smartphones is to reduce the existing stock.
So far, Huawei achieves a notable increase in sales volume. Quite a few loyal iPhone users choose Huawei P30 or P30 Pro. Then, they buy mid-range Huawei smartphones for senior or Honor smartphones.
Thus, several Huawei smartphones will be sold at the same time. Some phone users will also buy a Huawei TV, so the product is becoming much more popular in the market.
