Huawei P30 Lite is one of the best-selling low-budget smartphones with a masterpiece camera. Huawei released its P30, P30 Pro and P30 Lite, with the P30 Lite being the bestselling low-budget smartphone of 2019.
One of the reasons why I love the P30 Lite is because the P30 Lite delivers a premium design and a versatile 24MP camera, telephoto lens, and wide-angle camera. Above all, this phone is the cheapest among its other siblings.
Huawei P30 Lite offers an FHD + resolution of 2312 x 1080 pixels. Its screen size is 6.15 inches with a high pixel density of 415 PPI and a very sharp display.
The back case of the Huawei P30 Lite is made of plastic instead of glass. It doesn’t have the slippery feel when compared to the P30 and P30 Pro, the P30 Lite feels very comfortable when held in hand thanks to its narrow build.
Its front display is made of scratch-resistant aluminosilicate glass. I am impressed with its tiny and narrow display bezels.
Overall, I am impressed by the touch, feel, build, and material quality of the Huawei P30 Lite. It has several colors; Midnight Black, Pearl White, and Peacock Blue.
The Huawei P30 Lite features a fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a status LED, and it supports wireless display connectivity via Miracast.
Its wireless connectivity is a plus and one of the reasons why I recommend this phone to Netflix and Amazon Prime users like me. P30 Lite uses a 6GB RAM with an internal storage of 128GB so that you can extend your storage up to 512GB.
By default, the P30 Lite runs on the Android 9.0 Pie, unlike the P30, and P30 Pro that comes with the EMUI 9.1.
This makes the P30 Lite look somewhat outdated, but fortunately, you can upgrade the OS to the 9.1 Pie.
In addition to its other specs, the P30 Lite supports gestures and biometric authentication via Face detection.
Another feature which makes the P30 Lite impressive is its fast and reliable Face unlock feature using your front camera.
With all the security measures Huawei built into the P30 Lite, I notice that you can easily unlock the phone by using a photo of you on another phone. Sadly, that brings the security level of the phone to about 50%.
The Huawei P30 Lite enhances a smoother and faster gaming experience. It is powered by a revolutionary graphics technology.
If you love exploring and discovering things on the go, P30 Lite uses a powerful AI technology that automatically identifies and display information about objects around you.
The P30 Lite has a triple back camera that has three different lenses, a 2MP, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 24 MP.
I noticed that the 24MP has a wide-angle lens with an aperture of f/1.8, and there is sufficient camera light to take photos even in the dark. Its 2MP uses a telephoto lens that has a bokeh effect.
When using the ultra-wide-angle lens, I noticed that the photo suffered from visible blur and distortion. However, in daylight, the photos turned out pretty well.
The 32 MP selfie camera produces decent photos both in the daylight and nighttime. Its front camera picks all the necessary details, and there is enough distance between the lens and the object in question.
P30 Lite has a battery capacity of 3,340mAh, that’s a bit low for a heavy user like me. While using it, I noticed that the phone lasted for 12hrs on video time and that’s impressive considering the battery capacity.
It uses a type-c USB charger which has an 18W fast-charging power supply (9V/2A).
The P30 Lite has a lot to offer. It is a mid-range smartphone with premium features.
If you are looking for a phone with a good camera and at an affordable price, the P30 Lite is the choice for you.
