After the official announcement of next month’s Unpacked 2020 New Product Launch Event, Samsung presented the latest teaser video.
The video isn’t informative enough, as we can only see the slogan, “Change the shape of the future,” and the outline of the smartphone.
According to the slogan and previous rumors, Samsung will likely bring a new foldable smartphone in the event.
Therefore, rumors about the specs and design of the Samsung foldable smartphone come out.
The new renders show the same design as in previous rumors. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip adopts a hole-punch display with a front camera in the center. At the rear are two cameras and a tiny display.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip can be folded up and down – it was called “Galaxy Bloom” in previous rumors.
When fully folded, the screen of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is 6.7-inch, with a resolution of 2636x1080, an aspect ratio of 22:9. It is as large as the common smartphones.
A special glass screen protector wraps the entire screen.
When the smartphone is entirely folded, the back serves as the protection while ensuring the portability. The tiny display shows the time and messages.
The tiny display is 1.06-inch, with a resolution of 300 x 116, covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 6 Gen.
As for the configurations, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC (7nm process), coupled with 8GB RAM, 256GB UFS 3.0 memory, 3300mAh battery, and 15W fast charging.
In terms of the camera, there is a 10MP selfie camera and a dual-camera module that packs a 12MP primary lens (f/1.8) and a 12MP 123-degree ultra-wide-angle lens.
Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy Z flip will run One UI 2 based on Android 10. It will also support NFC, but not 5G.
The estimated price of the European Edition will be around 1,500 euros. However, the final price will be announced in the launch event next month.
