Hubsan Zino 2 Review: Brilliant Low-Cost Drone with Higher-level Capabilities.

Building on the outstanding performance and best quality, the Hubsan H117S Zino is well received by users as a budget-friendly drone. Hubsan made a great effort and released HUBSAN ZINO 2 with better performance. It can be cheaper alternatives to the likes of DJI Mavic and Parrot Anafi.

For amateur photographers like me, we have to spend a lot of money on the technical camera equipment. The high-priced devices stress me a lot so I always except for a highly cost-effective drone quadcopter. The Hubsan Zino 2 offers me a great value.

Delicate Appearance Design

The design features of Hubsan Zino 2 are similar to Hubsan H117S Zino. They are made out of high-quality polycarbonate that is durable and will not damage easily. If you are a beginner, some inevitable crashes occur a few times, and it’s a good drone before you get the hang of it.

While Zino 2 weights 915g, a little heavier than Zino 1 weighing 700g, it uses aluminum alloys in its bearing plate for solid supporting.

The exclusively designed foldable arms make it good for traveling with. The arms fold nicely close to the body of the drone reducing it to a compact size. You can pack it away in your backpack easily without disassembling the rotor arms. I prefer the black and white color scheme, it make the overall appearance cool and technological.

Excellent Hardware Configuration

Remote Controller with a Built-in Ultra-bright Display

Differing from Zino 1, Zino 2 provides a built-in ultra-bright display controller to keep your live feed easily viewable, even in direct sunlight. There is no need for extra mobile devices.

You can fly the newest drone without using a smartphone or tablet. The remote controller feels comfortable in your hands and the controls are easy to reach. Besides, the remote control distance is longer from 2.5KM to 6 KM. This feature means a longer video transmission distance.

4K- 60fps HD Camera with Panorama

One attractive feature of the Zino 2, in my opinion, is the 4K-60fps HD camera with panorama. Even DJI Mavic Air only equipped with a 4K-30fps camera. you can take professional level aerial photography without having to splash out a huge sum of money.

Along with a larger aperture, F2.2 aperture, 80-degree wide-angle lens, You can shoot videos in FHD at 60fps, even in low-light. The quality of the video footage is something to behold. Mechanical triaxial stabilizer gimbal make sure that your video and images are distortion-free.

The Hubsan Zino 2 also comes with FPV capability, this will allow you to stream live video footage straight your mobile phone. Equipped with 5.8G WiFi, you can check the shooted videos without time-delay and the streaming quality is very good. Meanwhile, you can download files directly by wireless connection.

Larger Capacity Battery

A larger capacity lithium-ion battery provides a longer flight time than most other drones in its price range. 33 minutes is on the longer side of drone flight times.

The accurate battery monitoring system is smart, and it can activate the automatic return home function. When the battery reaches a low charge, your drone will return to where you are.

Intelligent Flight Modes

Like Zino 1,  Zino 2 comes with several intelligent flight modes that will allow anyone to fly this machine. All these flight modes are easily accessible and updated from within the X-Hubsan app.

With the press of the panorama button, the drone will rotate a full 360° and record at the same time. Headless flight means that you need not worry which direction the nose faces. Engage the target lock feature if you would like the drone to follow a target.

You may also draw a trajectory flight plan on your smartphone and the drone will follow that route. If it meets obstacles along the way, it will bypass them, so you do not have to wind your route around the obstacles. Altitude hold is quite effective and so is the automated takeoff and landing.

Flight Height and Speed

You can set the flight height from the app, and this quadcopter can fly up to 500m. Hubsan has changed the software a lot and with the new update, everything in terms of stability has been fixed. Now the drone doesn’t do any more toilet bowling and it flies quite steady.

The maximum flight speed can reach 72 kph. There’s also beginner mode that will limit both height and distance, in case you want to practice without making any mistakes.

Hubsan have gone all out with this drone and it looks like they have done a good job. All in all, The Hubsan Zino 2 comes with a professional camera and some amazing features. It’s a drone that is suitable for everyone, not only beginners but also more experienced pilots. I bet it will be referred to as the best value drone.
