It is said the Xiaomi will release the first 5G smartphone equipped with Snapdragon 855 SoC and UFS 3.0 flash storage at the beginning of September.
The model of the new smartphone is M1908F1XE, and it has got the MIIT network access license.
It might be Xiaomi’s second 5G smartphone and named after Xiaomi Mi 9 5G.
The overall appearance of Xiaomi Mi 9 5G is nearly the same as that of Mi 9. It uses a 6.39-inch AMOLED waterdrop notch display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080, 4000mAh battery.
Additionally, the new arrival will be thicker, measuring 157.21 x 74.64 x 8.95mm.
In terms of configuration, Xiaomi Mi 9 5G will incorporate Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC, Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset.
Snapdragon 855 Plus features two significant improvements:
1. The main frequency of Kryo 485 is up to 2.96GHz, in comparison to the 2.84GHz of Snapdragon 855;
2. The Adreno 640 GPU boasts 15% uplift in performance.
It is worth mentioning that Xiaomi Mi 9 5G version will offer UFS 3.0 flash storage, making it the first Xiaomi smartphone to have UFS 3.0.
