Earlier this year, Samsung added two new Lite devices to its flagship lineup namely Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note 10 Lite. With the Lite lineup, the chaebol tries to bring some of the flagship features to the lower point, bringing the experience to the masses. Well, it seems like the company will once again follow the same trend but with, of course, different moniker. The upcoming Galaxy S20 Fan Edition will take over the Galaxy S Lite devices.
As per the recent report by SamMobile, the upcoming Galaxy S20 Fan Edition will arrive in three different color options. We’re looking at Blue, White, and Light Violet. Coming to the last option, we might see something like the Prism Crush Violet Galaxy A50s. Furthermore, we might even see the entire color options being Prism considering the previous Galaxy S10 Lite variants. This means that we might see Prism Blue, Prism White, and Prism Violet / Prism Light Violet.
To recall, the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition will come with 128GB onboard memory on board. We’re expecting to arrive with the Android 10 operating system with One UI 2.5 skin on top. For those who’re unaware, One UI 2.5 is going to the company’s next iteration of custom skin which should arrive with the upcoming Galaxy Note 20 lineup.
Since it is technically going to be a Lite variant of the S20 lineup, we should also expect more affordable pricing. The ideology behind the series will remain the same i.e., bringing flagship-grade specs to the masses who are not willing to spend a premium.
Considering numerous reports, the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition is expected to see its official unveiling in August. At the same Unpacked event, we will see the next-gen Note 20 lineup, Galaxy Watch 3. We will also see the next Galaxy Buds, and Galaxy Fold 2. It seems like the next Unpacked event will bring forth a plethora of new products.
Apart from this, we don’t have much information about the Fan Edition at the time of writing this. If the device is really set for the August event, then we should hear more reports surfacing forward in the coming weeks.
