The latest Realme smartphone, Realme X2 with a 64MP image sensor, was officially unveiled. However, even before its official release, a lot was known about this new device.
The Realme X2 features a 6.4-inch super AMOLED display with a 91.9% screen-to-body ratio and has a new-generation in-screen fingerprint sensor. The device adopts a "wormhole light pattern" parallel design, 4D curved glass, and is available in two color options - Silver Wing White and Star Map Blue.
In terms of photography, it comes with an ultra-clear 1/1.72" 64MP Samsung GW1 sensor. It also has an 8MP 119-degree ultra-wide-angle lens that provides 4x FOV and supports distortion correction. Other features include a 2MP black and white portrait lens and a 2MP macro lens that supports a focus distance of 4cm.
The imaging system was optimized in collaboration with professional photography experts, including National Geographic photographer Aaron Huey, who worked as imaging director on the project.
The front camera uses a 32MP ultra-clear lens and support four-in-one pixel binning, with a single-pixel size of 1.6um. It also supports AI beauty and selfie super night scene features to provide more powerful portrait night shots.
Realme X2 supports ultra-wide-angle video shooting, a super video anti-shake function, video portrait bokeh, super slow motion, and video editing.
Additionally, it is equipped with a Snapdragon 730G processor, built-in 4000mAh battery, and supports 30W VOOC flash charge 4.0. It has three card slots and comes with up to 256GB of internal storage.
In terms of performance, it supports an ultra game mode, multi-heat dissipation technology, dual-channel network acceleration, dual Wi-Fi network acceleration, 2x2 MIMO "anti-lock" antennas, and offers exclusive game space.
In terms of audio, it supports Dolby Atmos, a superlinear speaker, and a smart power amplifier.
Additionally, Realme X2 supports multi-functional NFC, including bank cards, transit cards, and access cards.
Realme X2 is available from $210 for the 6GB + 64GB storage variant, and $253 for the 8GB + 128GB variant. The device is now available for pre-order, with official sales starting on September 27th.
