In the box

The following elements neatly lay inside the box – this is the smartphone itself in a protective film and on which the main functions of the device are written.

Also included is a silicone transparent case, a protective film on the screen, a Type-C cable, a 10W power adapter, a manual with a needle for SIM cards.

Despite the low cost, the new budget smartphone from Elephone received a fairly wide range of equipment, which even more expensive devices can envy.

Design

Elephone E10 – looks like a real flagship, but probably not in 2020, but in 2019. The front part received the usual waterdrop notch for a selfie camera. Of course, in 2020 such a solution is already rare but still occurs.

Almost the entire front surface is occupied by a 6.5-inch IPS screen with HD+ resolution or 720 x 1560 pixels. The aspect ratio is 19.5: 9, and the pixel density is about 264 PPI.

The screen quality is not the best, but it is not the worst. Individual pixels are practically invisible and it will be enough to use it for everyday tasks.

The color reproduction is high with saturated bright colors and viewing angles at a decent level. It is also worth noting that the frame around the screen is small, except for the bottom of the screen.

The backside of the Elephone E10 smartphone has four main camera modules and an LED flash. It is also easy to notice that there is no fingerprint scanner on the rear panel since it is located on the right side of the smartphone.

The fingerprint scanner performs two functions – this is the power button and finger recognition. The scanner works quite slowly, but always accurately. Also, there is a volume rocker.

On the opposite end, there is a slot for dual SIM cards and a memory card up to 256 GB. Each card can be used simultaneously.

The bottom end of the Elephone E10 is equipped with a Type-C port, speaker, and microphone.

The smartphone lies well in the hand, but do not forget about its size, for example, the dimensions of the E10 model are 163.6 x 77.3 x 8.5 mm, and the weight is about 193 grams. Therefore, it will be impossible to use with one hand, but it will be comfortable to watch movies or play games.

Elephone E10 is made of plastic and has two colors – it is an iridescent blue-green and black color.

Performance

The budget smartphone Elephone E10 is equipped with a new processor from MediaTek called Helio P22 or MT6762D. It is based on eight cores, where four are a Cortex-A53 with a clock frequency of 1.8 GHz, and the other four Cortex-A53 with 1.5 GHz.

The device also received a graphics chipset – IMG GE8320 with 600 MHz operating frequency. As practice has shown, E10 has good potential when playing modern and demanding games. For example, Call Of Duty Mobile starts up, and playing it is quite comfortable, but naturally not at the highest graphics settings.

Let’s go through the benchmark tests, Elephone E10 scored about 96 thousand points in AnTuTu, and in Geekbench 5 about 140 in single-core and 800 points in the multi-core test.

The device received 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory. If you don’t have enough internal memory, you can safely add a memory card up to 256 GB.

One of the main features is the operating system, which received the latest version of Android 10. The device has global firmware.

It has its own icon design and its own wallpaper, but the main functions and options remain the same. Naturally, the Elephone E10 has pre-installed Google applications, such as the Play Store, Chrome, and others.

Like most little-known brands, including Elephone – the main drawback of the user interface will be updated. Maybe at first, you will be able to get several updates, but after 2-3 months there will be no point in waiting for any updates.

It is also worth noting that Wifi and GPS work adequately well. Also in the device, there is an NFC module, thanks to which you can make purchases in a contactless way.

Camera

On the back of the Elephone E10 there is the main camera with four modules.

The main sensor received a 48-megapixel resolution, and the second sensor has a 13-megapixel resolution for ultra-wide shots. Also the third sensor at 2 megapixels for bokeh shots and the last fourth at 5 megapixels for macro shots.

On the front of the screen, there is a selfie camera with a 13-megapixel resolution.

The maximum video resolution is only 1080p and 30 frames per second.

The application camera on the Elephone E10 is typical for most smartphones in the budget segment. There are a large number of different options and functions, for example, portrait, 48MP, macro, ultra-wide, and even night mode.

The quality of the photos is pretty good, as for a budget smartphone.

Battery

Currently, most smartphones and even budget employees have a fairly high battery capacity.

Elephone E10 is no exception, 4000 mAh battery capacity is installed inside the case, which shows a strong result in terms of battery life.
The total battery life with the screen on time was 10 hours and 50 minutes. In real life, this is about 2 full days of work. Do not forget to forget that the Helio P22 processor consumes a small amount of energy, as does the HD screen resolution.

A full charge through the Type-C port and 10 watts of the power adapter will take about 3 hours.

Conclusion

Elephone E10 – it’s hard to call it an ideal smartphone, but it has every chance to become worthy of competitors for Xiaomi devices.

If frequent system updates are not important to you and you are sure that you will change your smartphone in 2-3 years, then the new E10 model will be a good choice.

The positive side is the availability of a high-quality camera with 48-megapixel resolution and an ultra-low sensor, good battery life, decent performance, good screen quality, and the most important for many – the presence of an NFC module.
