Hi guys. If you love to create welcome to Gearbest. You can choose your ideal variant for home creation and your hobby. Or you can get a new hobby when know about new technologies and possibilities for creations. So lets see different variants, their pluses and minuses.
We will answer the questions: what materials can be used for each machines, what is the scope of application each machine and what ideas can you translate using different types of machines? And the main question is there universal machines for creating?
Able to carve text or image on different materials: wood, plastic, acrylic, PCB, PVC, glass, soft metal like copper and aluminum and other materials. But we can't use hard metal (such as brass, steel, iron, etc).
CNC has different knives for different materials. Usually the machine has spindle with ER11 and you can find a lot of knives for it in the internet. (Usually 5 cutters included with machine).
Able to carve text or image on different materials: wood, plastic, paper, bamboo, stone, leather, soft metal.
The Laser Engraver Module can be with different laser power. As higher laser power as deeper curves and patterns. Usually these machines can support all kinds of laser power on the market, such as 500mw,2500mw,5500mw, 7000mw,10000mw,15000mw. .
In this case engraving knife can be replaced by laser module. They are more universal machines. And you can do more original things and use more materials. These machines work with Benbox/GRBL software which supports spindle and laser.
This my latest favorite theme. 3D printers are the most ideal device for creating new things. Prototypes, models, useful things, mechanisms. All that you want. Modern 3D printers can work with a lot of materials thanks to powerful and innovation extrude mechanisms. Materials have different application areas and properties (density, strength, elasticity, melting point). They are PLA, ABS, TPU, Wood, HIPS, PETG, Nylon.
So you can print toys, spare parts, 3d-portraits, cases for your mobile phone, dishes, vases, etc.
From minuses for this machines: some materials can have an unpleasant odor and may be toxic, but if you use PLA plastic or have closed printer housing with filter and fan - there are no problems for you!
These machines are 3 in 1: 3D printing + CNC cutting + laser engraving. So it means that you can use it for any projects. But they have smaller working area and bigger price.
If you need more customization than creation - CNC/Laser Engraver machines will be much better for you. Also they work with a lot of materials basically flat. But if you are engineer, designer or constructor the ideal variant for you is 3DPrinter.
The compromise if you want to try everything you can buy universal device, which has 3 changeable modules: for cutting, engraving and 3D printing.
Have a nice shopping!
