The Amazfit Stratos 2 Smartwatch is the flagship in the Huami's Smart Watch Series and giving a tough competition to the Smart Watch makers today. It gives a very premium look after wearing and the ceramic glossy bezel around the watch makes it stand out in terms of looks and design. The carbon fibre covering the sides of the watch compliments it's design at the same time protecting the watch from overtime scratches.I am using it since a month and I will list out some pros & cons about the watch, I hope this helps you out in arriving at a decision... Pros :- 1. The Watch looks very premium & classy and after I wear it, it feels that I am wearing a $500 watch. 2. The ceramic bezel and carbon fibre on the sides compliments the looks of the watch. 3. The Transflective display is a break through feature and Amazfit Stratos is the only watch to have this feature, the more light comes on the screen, the more bright the display looks and it also improves the battery life of the watch. 4. This is the international version of the watch so there is no problem of Chinese language and it perfectly supports English language. 5. The buttons are well clickable and covered with glossy coating which is nice. 6. It weighs only 70 gms and it's very light weighted, so you can wear it all day and you won't feel any issue. 7. Waterproof design helps me to use it even during work out and jogging and I love that very much. 8. The battery is ample and it charges fast also, within 1.5 hours it charges fully and gives me battery backup of 3 days if I use continuous GPS and heart rate along with all notifications and standby of 5 to 6 days if kept as it is. 9. In built storage is super amazing and I can upload songs on the watch itself and use my bluetooth headphones to hear it without the need to carry my smartphone and it is a must feature in all smart watches. 10. The CPU is in-house developed by Xiaomi and it gives ultra-long battery life and smooth performance, the 512 mb of ram and single core processor helps to run the watch very smoothly. 11. Compatible with both Android & iOS devices which is good. 12. Touch Screen is very responsive. 13. The app is packed with loads of features. 14. The heart rate tracker, step tracker, sleep and idle time tracker is very much accurate and helps me to analyse my fitness. 15. The push text and call notifications is an amazing feature and it notifies me via vibration even if my phone is inside my pocket in silent mode. 16. The watch faces looks damn cool and adds the beauty to the watch. 17. Other features are also there to explore so do check it out. Amazfit is mainly a gadget for fitness. Therefore it counts on a series of sensors and functionalities directed to the tracking of physical activities. Thanks to its resistance of up to 5 ATM, it accompanies the user even in strokes in the pool, making it versatile to follow from running to swimming. It will only stay out of collective activities like volleyball and basketball for example, because you can not wear a watch in these sports. In these situations, if you put it in your pocket, at least will count the steps. The handset also has internal memory and GPS, so you will be able to leave your cell phone at home and still have your way saved as well as give to listen to songs on a bluetooth handset. To store your tracks, there is a total of 4GB of internal memory. It will not only be able to answer calls, since we do not have in this model the LTE connection, something that until now has been restricted to the most expensive models of smartwatches. You can manually trigger an exercise to be monitored, which will put into action all sensors such as GPS, heart rate and movement. If you do not start manually, the watch will still record your activity throughout the day counting given steps and you can also turn on the way in which it eventually checks your heart rate, something that slightly increases the battery consumption. Stratos can also be used to record the user's sleep, something he does automatically. Here we do not have something on the level of equipment dedicated to verifying sleep quality: it only uses the motion sensor to see if the person is moving too much or not, and gives estimates of time in deep and light sleep, for example. He usually went quite close to adjusting the times he was actually sleeping, but if you keep crawling on your cell phone before bed or before getting up, it can confuse and accidentally increase estimated sleep time. One of the great highlights is the large amount of information that can be displayed on the screen. You can see whole conversations that have accumulated in WhastApp, slide the screen by turning the wrist, touching the screen or using the buttons. You can also see the weather forecast, but the highlight is the large amount of information displayed on the screen while you exercise. are multiple displays, and you can customize what appears in each one. After finishing a training session you can see the main report information on the clock without the need to look at the smartphone. I highly recommend the product!

I was monitoring this Xiaomi smartwatch because I had read some excellent reviews, so I bought it taking advantage of the Single's Day offers (November 11th) for just over € 120! A really fantastic price for a smartwatch with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of space for applications / photos / music etc., and with a battery lasting about 5 days. In the package, in addition to the smartwatch, there is the USB charger with base I state that I come from a smartband and in particular the famous Xiaomi Mi Band 2, the transition to a smartwatch was not at all traumatic from the point of view of the bulk / weight, in fact I was very surprised by the ease with which it is worn on the wrist and its weight, which allows it to be used both during its sports activities and during the night. The smartwatch has a very nice round watch face and many colleagues were enthusiastic about how it looked and someone immediately convinced them to buy it. The possibility of changing the dial is very nice, downloading it from different sites on the web where you can find "watchfaces" (so called) that follow the dials of famous watches, such as Rolex, Omega, Tissot, etc. Just download them in .wzf format, copy them into the "WatchFaces" folder of your smartwatch and then these new dials will be selectable from the smartwatch itself or from its official Amazfit Watch app. I tried the smartwatch even during some sports activities (eg soccer) and I found it reliable and accurate. To compare it I used the Mi Band 2 on the other wrist and I didn't notice any differences with regards to measuring the steps and heartbeats. I also tried to copy music inside the smartwatch and then to connect the smartwatch itself to a bluetooth speaker to listen to the copied music. I found this feature very useful, especially when one goes to do fitness / running and can avoid taking the smartphone with them. In fact you can use the smartwatch and bluetooth headphones matched to hear the music during our physical activity, without having to carry the smartphone with it, that's cool !!!! The battery actually lasts 5 days (including 1 sport activity of about 2 hours) and I am really satisfied both from the aesthetic point of view (I think it is among the most beautiful in circulation!) And from the practical and sports point of view. I highly recommend it to those who do not want to faint and look for a smartwatch of around 130 € / 140 €, with a long battery life.

This is the best watch I ever had. Its data is correct, heartbeat, sport data, sleepdata.. name it and it is ok. Ok, it is not cheap, but it is worth every euro or dollar. I have it now for a week and I am still very exited with it. It is very beautyfull in bright sunlite, the backlite helps in the dark. I have 80 different watch faces on it (big toys for big boys) and there are hundreds more. I tested it during mountainbiking, and it is absolutely WOW. nice GPS map, heartrate data, distance, speed, training load, It states how long you need to recover from it. WOW, it is a personal coach/trainer on my wrist. It also has a compass, keeps sleepdata, very good app for on your smartphone, is 50m waterproof, everything is just super on this watch. it has a 5 day weather forecast if you sync it with your smartphone dayly, also alarm, but you should know it doesnt have an alarm sound, just a vibration on your wrist, but no sound. stopwatch and timer are also present. You can load some music tracks on your watch (using the app, or connecting the watch by USB to a pc) and when you use a bluetooth speaker or bluetooth earplugs, you can control the music with the watch, nice during sport activities, no messing around with you smartphone during a jog or bikeride. If you sit down too long, it gives you a notice to get up and take a small walk. When you keep it connected through bluetooth with you phone, all messages are displayed on the screen, but the text is only ok for people with good eyes (I mean a little small, but readable with your glasses on for people with spectacles) also it states when someone calls you, message only, not able to call with it. there are no holes in it, so no sounds. (with holes you can not have the 50 m waterproof feature I guess) And if I have to choose between 50m waterproof or (alarm)sounds and phone sounds, i choose the 50m, so I dont care about the lack of sound.... So if you want a super nice watch with sportfunctions, nice extra options and good working funtions and correct data, this is the watch you want!

I have already used various fitness trackers to monitor my fitness progress. I am someone who does not sufficiently motivate me to know that on a given day the number of xy steps has been completed. Rather, I find it extremely helpful and motivating to know. Yesterday I completed "my" - exactly "my" - 4-kilometer run in 25 minutes, and today I made it in 24:30 minutes. So for me the tracking of the track is crucial: where was I fast, where was I slow, where is it to improve and how it looks on other routes. Two models of Samsung were completely useless, because the GPS has never worked properly. With the expensive Gear S3 Frontier it worked three, four times, then my routes were not recorded anymore. Now I finally get to Stratos 2: here it works. I am happy. The! GPS! Is working! After the first touch I was shocked: the clock is very light, which suggests the feel that the clock is less valuable. This is deceptive though. The workmanship is impeccable. And the big advantage of the watch to clocks / trackers with a lot of metal and glass (S3 Frontier for example) is that the same probably just sometimes difficult to receive signals of any kind. The display takes some getting used to, and as I said earlier at Samsung, it is a step backwards to the beautifully colorful display of well-known manufacturers. But here is something behind it. Thanks to the transreflexive display, a lot of power is saved so that enormous battery life is possible. Example yesterday with me: I had the clock at work all day, then a GPS-tracked walk of 6 kilometers. Battery in the evening: 85%. Great. Compared to the watch, the quality of the bracelet stinks off slightly because it does not feel very stable. For example, the pin buckle is not metal. There I would have felt the use of metal quite positive and trustworthy. Conclusion: Great modes, sensible display, perfect GPS tracking. Certainly others will create this with their watches - but certainly not at the price.

The Amazefit does everything that a smart watch from any other premium brand does. At the price it is sold, it’s already a winner compared to the rest. But to me what mattered was the little details that it does better than the rest. After 2 months of use these are my key findings. Pros 1. Display readability in direct sunlight is the best among all smart watches I’ve seen period, my favorite things about this watch. 2. Battery life amazing. I always charge it on the 7th day (with a daily walk/ run tracking for 60-90mins). 3. Tracking of steps or sleep is accurate to plus or minus 10% of actuals. 4. I've managed to knock the watch on the desk or against the wall at least once a week, but the glass & ceramic watch body has managed to resist against any scratches. 5. Very easy to get used to the simple swipe gestures. 6. People around you will definitely notice the Premium looking watch. 7. Regular software updates. 8. Companion App is simple yet detailed. Con Only negative I've noticed is managing of additional notifications from the same app. For instance, every 1st message from any app shows details & I can read it (perfect). But the moment I receive a 2nd message, it just says received 2 messages & you'll have to interact with your phone to read both the messages. One of my key uses of the Amazfit is to reduce the amount of times I interact with my phone. You can install 3rd party apps that manage this much better, but using those apps drains the battery. Suggestions 1. Though the buttons on the side looks cool, it serves no real purpose. I managed to get used to the swipe gestures almost immediately & have barely used them in 2 months. It would be nice if in a future firmware update they rolled out some fun dedicated functions to these keys. 2. Out of the 15 Watch Faces 6 are amazing, 3 not to bad & 6 are childish.

first let's talk about the appearance of the watch. It's beautiful. very classy looking. size is perfect for my wrist. it's a lot lighter than i thought it would be, making it extremely comfortable. Set up was relatively easy At first when i started wearing it the battery was lasting just over 1 day.... far cry from 5 advertised. seems that the music player was running sending bluetooth (even though no music on watch) to my phone constantly. turned that off. now 5 days of battery life. i use the step counter, and cycling/ walking part in the activities. step counter was pretty inaccurate but a firmware seems to have improved the numbers. numbers were now on par with My Samsung galaxy s8. steps climbed up and down doesn't seem to register a whole lot. pretty much useless . The sleep monitoring application is nice.I wish there were more features with this. cycling is pretty accurate. gps is accurate as is HR .only comparison is my phone. notifications are decent if you view when you get it, as is the caller id. only thing i think could use improvement is if you have multiple messages the watch will tell you how many and from who but you can't read them.? i dont really use much else. i wish there were more watch faces available other than side loading from another application which i have not done. The price of the watch is the reason i bought my first smartwatch plus the fact that this thing is totally water proof. if your looking for lots of features like google pay and a whole bunch of other applications then this watch is not for you. for me this is a perfect gatway into the world of smart watches .I can wear for the week and not have to charge every day or every other day like those costing 2-3 times as much.

First of all: this watch is amazing and fullfills (and partly exceeds) all of my expectations. It's very light, but has a great build-quality (touchscreen, buttons on the side, glass covering the screen, body). The wristband is more rubbery, I suppose most suitable for sports. But one big plus: It's exchangable! You can switch it with any other wristband compatible with this watch. What I knew: The stock version comes only in English, Chinese and Spanish (after an OTA-Update). And that's fine by me. Maybe they'll add German later ;-) What I also knew: The display is not as colorful and bright as a standard-display found in smartwatches. But I was surprised how amazing it is outdoors. The rule: The brighter it is, the more you can read it! That's something most smartwatches lack in my opinion. And if you're indoors -> The backlight just does the job nicely. But be aware that it's not an AMOLED-extremely-colored-Display! A word on the viewing-angle: It's more than sufficant! I had to search for an angle where the display wouldn't be readable; but kept in mind that it's still a watch -> More than sufficant! The software is really nice, I got an update over the air after I turned it on (2.3.5 global). Everything's working as it should be, even sleep-recognition. And now to the best part: I knew that it's based on Android 5.1 (which is pretty old now). BUT it's sooo damn easy to write own software or install other ones in form of APK-files WITHOUT doing anything risky. All in all: An amazing watch with minor downsides (not colorful, vivid display, only-English at the time), which I knew, so I can't count them as minus-points. Instead, this watch surprised me how good it is readable indoors (thanks to the backlight) and the really good software (this counts for the OS installed on the smartwatch AND for the Smartphone-Sync-App).

First, I am pleasantly surprised about the actual weight of the watch. I was expecting this huge, heavy thing on my wrist that would bounce around while I was mountain biking. Not so. This thing is lighter than all of my “regular” watches and I love it. The display is great and if I’m in the dark and can’t see the watch face, I just press the button and illuminate it for a few seconds to be able to tell time. No problem there. It really has everything that I need for mountain biking. Speed, mileage, time elapsed etc. The step counter seems to be relatively on point. I actually walked 100 steps and counted. I believe the step counter was 12 steps off. Not bad. Love the fact that I can change watch faces in a second and make the watch more formal or less formal if needed. I bought different bands and plastic bezel protector as well. They look good and protect my watch face. The companion app is great as well. It’s not as crazy number filled as it’s direct competition watch, but it has everything I need, and more. The messages notification vibration works and lets me know when I get a message or email. Good to go. I would not want to be replying to my messages on a tiny watch. That is ridiculous. We have phones for that. Overall, I am very happy with this watch. It seemed to work even under a thick canopy of trees. It was only for a few minutes at a time that I was under those trees, but it never had an issue with GPS connection. And on that note, the GPS acquisition is relatively fast (10 seconds or so) and accurate. I will say that the altimeter needs improvement though.
Suggestion:: The elevation/altimeter needs improvement. I normally ride the same set of trails and the elevation shows in the area of 500 m. The elevation from the watch shows more in the area of 1000 m. Not sure what the problem is, but I hope it can me fixed with a firmware update. Also, it would be nice to be able to actually select the activity display and what fields it shows. Specifically while cycling. I’d rather have 3 fields than 5(or more) and be able to seem them easier as they’d have more room and therefore could be displayed bigger.
