I originally purchased these 'TARP STAKES' for that exact purpose, but finding myself in a storm, on soggy ground, the 'normal' smooth tent pegs were being pulled up and my tent was taking a battering....at 3am in the peeing rain, I replaced the ordinary tent pegs to my guy line and the windward side of the tent, with these...problem solved!
